Rubrics
Rubrics and terms
The scoring rules behind each free tool, written out so you can apply them by hand, adapt them or cite them.
Evidence Strength Rubric
A 0–100 grade of how well a single research finding is supported, scored on independent sources, method diversity, segment coverage, recency, qualitative-quantitative agreement and contradicting evidence.
Interview Loop Coverage Score
Which competencies each stage of a hiring loop is assigned to assess. Good coverage tests every required competency once or twice and none four or more times.
Decision Drag Index and Operating Rhythm Grade
A 0–100 score, higher is worse, of how much a team's decisions slow it down: whether decisions are recorded, communicated to the people affected, reopened because context was lost, and whether initiatives have named owners.
Competitor Threat Triage
A 0–13 score of how much one competitor move threatens your product, based on adjacency to your core, depth of the feature, customer signal, buyer overlap and momentum.
Brag Bullet Rubric
A brag document entry that shows work at the scope the next level requires: an outcome, a number, scope beyond your own team and someone who saw it.
Promotion Case Readiness Rubric
A 0–100 score of how ready a promotion case is, weighted toward documented impact and evidence of operating at the next level, then written feedback, manager alignment and sponsorship.
1:1 Health Rubric
A 0–100 score of whether a manager's one-on-ones are working, across consistency, ownership, follow-through and growth.
Glossary
- Review Readiness
- A per-person status showing whether there is enough feedback logged to write a fair review. It flags anyone with too few notes or no note in over 60 days. Used in Performance & Feedback Tracker.
- Days Quiet
- The number of days since a signal was last logged against a competitor. A high number means you have stopped watching them, not that they have stopped moving. Used in Competitor Intelligence Tracker.
- Scope gap
- A promotion criterion with evidence, but none at the scope the next level requires. Used in Career Growth Tracker.
- Reversibility tag
- A label on each logged decision marking whether it can be undone cheaply. Reversible decisions can be made fast; irreversible ones get more review. Used in Executive OS.
